Originally scheduled to be apart of the PCHS Annual Meeting, this program will now be a separate event from the business meeting.
The program, featuring Historic Pipestone Inc.’s St. Paul Episcopal Church project, has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 27 at 1pm. The speakers will be Lorraine Draper and Trava Olivier of Historic Pipestone Incorporated [HPI]. HPI was organized in 1976 to promote preservation and restoration of Pipestone’s historic buildings and to provide tourists an opportunity to learn of the city’s history.
Over the past four decades, HPI has worked towards these goals through feasibility studies, recommendations, artistic design as well as monetarily.
HPI is a 501c3 organization which raises funds for its mission through donations, fundraisers, matching grants and City community development funds.
Projects HPI has been a part of include the Calumet Inn, the historic Water Tower, Rock Island Depot, the Keyes Building and their current project, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Historic Pipestone Inc. can now be followed on Facebook, and donations are received through GiveMN.org, or mailed to HPI, PO Box 277, Pipestone, MN 56164.
